If you have questions or concerns about reenrolling, I would be very happy to talk with you (767-4949/office, 359-4546/cell). Mr. Gray Yates, director of admissions would also be glad to talk with you (767-4494).
The reenrollment deadline was January 21, but it's not too late. Sometimes parents send the enrollment packet to school with a student, and then the packet gets buried in the locker or backpack. Or maybe it never made it off your kitchen table. I'm just encouraging you to make sure your students are enrolled for next year. We want to have space and class choices available to them, and the numbers we get from accurate enrollment are vital to our planning process.

Experience Scripture in a whole new way. "Living Letters: Encountering Philippians" is a whole new approach to experiencing the biblical story. Living Letters recreates the historic circumstances surrounding Paul’s writing of the letter and invites the audience to leave their present-day culture behind and become members of the first-century church. The result is a dynamic, exciting, transformative encounter with Scripture. You won’t want to miss the rare opportunity to see a Broadway performer bring Paul’s letter to the Philippians to life. Join the entire student body for this special event on Monday, January 27 at 9:20am in the O.O. Emmons Auditorium. Links of interest:

The weather forecast has extreme cold temps moving into the area over the next 48 hours. If Shelby County Schools close, Harding will make an independent decision. You will be notified by email, text, and voice messaging. Please remember to check the website often. Reminder from Mr. Williamson's email on January 7 about our Inclement Weather Policy: "Going forward you will receive direct messages from us to assure you of Harding's decision about any school closings. YouVersion, an online Bible we use on iPads (and you may have on your phone) suggested picking one verse at the start of 2014 to make sort of a signature verse. This is the one I chose: Philippians 4:6-7. One version says, "Do not worry about anything. Pray about everything." Sometimes I find myself not wanting to bother God by praying too much. I'll think to myself, "Oh, I won't pray about that because I need to pray about this more." But when I think like that, I'm limiting God. I'm saying that there is a limit to how much he can handle, when I'm pretty sure he can handle my prayers and everyone else's, too. "Don't worry about anything. Pray about everything." I will try. |
